During our day at nursery the children will be provided with a wide range of activities which will change throughout the day. Our staff teams carefully plan so that the children are challenged and find their time here stimulating and fun. Messy activities are constantly available for the children so they can choose what they would like to do and when. Each age group will visit the garden at least twice a day so they have lots of fresh air and plenty of opportunity to run around.
The nursery has just been awarded a grant to improve our outdoor area; plans include adding decking, planters and awnings to provide shelter and shade. We are very excited about getting this work underway. We have also been improving our indoor facilities by changing around rooms in the Nursery so that our pre-school children have free flow access into the garden.
We are also involved with a new government initiative called ‘Every Child a Talker’, which is aimed at helping the nursery develop a stimulating environment in which children can enjoy experimenting with and learning language. We have just been approved for 2 year old funding which requires a good Ofsted report and takes into account a range of other factors.
