The children in the big bears room have been looking at animals that live under the sea. Because the nursery is so close to the harbour we thought we would take a trip down to the fishmongers to look at all the fresh fish that had been caught that day. We even brought back a live crab that we could look at and also bought some fish to make some yummy fish cakes later.
Our outdoor area was looking a little worse for wear so the staff and parents decided to do something about it. We had a few meetings to decide on what we wanted to do with the area and then set to work. Local businesses supported the project by donating materials and labour to help transform our outdoor area. We organized a garden SOS party where parents and staff got involved in planting, painting and tidying to give the garden a new fresh look. Thanks to the support and efforts of parents, staff and local business the garden is now a lovely place for the children to spend time in.
